Iím entirely out of it this morning. I got a call at 8:30am from Lee that Triangle, one of my cats, who has been in the hospital for the last few days, had died during the night. I guess that Iím in shock right now. He'd been sick before, and in a lot more dire condition. This time he was in a much less serious state and was expected to recover, as opposed to before, when we didnít know if heíd live from day to day. Once this hits me Iím going to be a mess. People who arenít close to an animal probably donít understand. Triangle was a completely awesome little kitty. He was extremely timid yet friendly and loving. He was only 6 years old.
That Poor Old Fart
I went up to LA yesterday for a chance to be on The Price is Right. Unfortunately, Bob had to cancel all his tapings this week due to losing his voice. The next attempt will probably be Memorial Day.
The rest of the day was spent at Universal Studios. I'd been to the Orlando park, but the LA one had a lot more to offer. My only warning is to steer clear of the Van Helsing attraction-- it's a dud.
I'll say it. I don't want to hear anyone bitch to me for not posting about my Las Vegas trip. I'll post something, eventually. And no, I won't be posting about the wild sex parties, so don't even ask!
Okay. That being said, I've been working on the site. You can register now! No really, you can. My motivation for getting that working was people sending me feedback. I got some weird-ass messages and I have no idea who they came from. The real problem is that while I'm laughing my butt off I have no idea who to thank.
Tomorrow night (tonight?), I'm headed to Los Angeles. Hopefully on Monday I'll be appearing as a contestant on The Price is Right. How freaking exciting is that! It'll be just me and Bob, trying my damnest to guess the price of Aunt Jemima's 32oz squeeze bottle of syrup. I can't wait to win that new set of encyclopedias I've always wanted.
The actual retail price is...
Busy, Busy, Busy
I'm back from Vegas, as of Sunday night, but have been too busy to finish my journal entry from the trip! Stay tuned for all the Vegas crap you could ever want to hear from me.
I had breakfast this morning with Espen at a diner over in Golden Hills. I've spent nearly all day studying because tonight I have an exam in Differential Equations, so wish me luck!
After class I'm headed out to meet up with one of my professors from NJ for dinner-- I haven't seen him in well over 4 years. He and his significant other are in town this week to see San Diego and Palm Springs.
Destination: Sin City
This weekend I'll be headed off to Las Vegas for the first time ever. I'm pretty damned excited! It should be very entertaining and a great little vacation, given I hardly ever have a day go by when I'm not working or going to school.
Having never been to the City of Sin, I'm not entirely sure what to expect. I know there will be eating, drinking and gambling. And that in itself is a good enough reason to go! Maybe I'll take in a show or spend some time by the pool. Or I might just end up puking into a toilet all day from the night before. Who knows? The fun part is not knowing exactly what's in store.
I've updated the site so feedback and responses can be sent to myself and other registered users. Next I plan to open registration and add a feedback feature for journal entries.
My legs are killing me because of last night's festivities! Still, I feel really good today, considering I only got 3 hours of sleep.
I'm struggling to decide if I should open myself up more in my journal entries. There's a lot that goes on in life, and sometimes it just can't be shared with everyone under the sun. Some things that are important to me are not public information, and understandably. Often it's a question of hurting feelings, creating tension, or violating trust. That makes it hard to post all the important things that happen in my life.
On a side note, I read this article about a guy here in California being attacked by 2 monkeys-- chimpanzees to be exact. His face was chewed off, along with his foot and testicles being torn off. Now you know why your mother always told you not to monkey around! My favorite part about the story on the San Diego Union Tribune's site is the La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre ad that comes up in the article.
Well it was good anyhow...
Espen called to cancel as I was getting into the club. I downed a few drinks and watched some people dance. I had a pretty good time. Ended up meeting with my friend Jarrod and the night finished with me dancing my ass off! I'm not usually the kind to go out, but I had a great time! Tomorrow morning will come very quickly-- I'm off to dream about true love, or maybe Elijah Wood. I hope everyone is being good and safe. Niters! ~~
Going out tonight!
Sweet! My friend Espen and I are going to go out to a club and party until dawn! Or at least until I have to go to work tomorrow!
Exair was busy today. We're making lots of changes to one of our core applications. Getting everyone coordinated can be difficult sometimes-- it's still not as easy of a tast as I'd like it to be. With some very large potential customers looking at our product, we want to make sure that our technology is top notch.
I've worked on the site a bit today. Hopefully I can get more done before the weekend is gone. I'll be at Sears early tomorrow because the store is opening early. Normally that would be alright, but this guy needs some fun tonight!
