My birthday is on Saturday, and I don't feel like celebrating it. Good thing it's out of my hands already. This year has been full of ups and downs. Unfortunately, there have been more downs than ups. Maybe it's just that the downs seem somehow bigger than the ups. There are so many things that I just don't want to be reminded of right now...
Triangle is dead.
Exair isn't doing so well.
My summer classes have been canceled.
Sometimes I wonder what the point is. And then I remember that there is no point. There never was. There is no spoon.
No more waiting. It's time to join a gym. I've been putting it off for far too long. Not that I'm fat, mind you. Quite the opposite. I'm a very thin person. Exercise also isn't just for building muscles. Hopefully, it can help give me back the energy I'm severely lacking.
So I'm preparing tonight to march down to the gym tomorrow and sign up. I'll be doing that by downing beer... LOTS of beer. I plan on being so absolutely plastered tomorrow that there will be no hesitation to sign up. Well, not really. But it sounds like a good plan, doesn't it?
Tomorrow I'm going to march on over to the 24 Hour Fitness downtown, slap down a butt-load of money, and collect my gym membership. Friday or Sunday will be my first workout day. From there I hope to get into the gym a few times per week. Brian has graciously offered to be my workout buddy. Once things get going, it should be something to look forward to doing.
A Very Cho Follow-Up
So two weeks later I'm writing about my Margaret Cho experience at Copley Symphony Hall. She was funny as hell! Everything was uncovered and nothing was left untouched. Just the way I like it. Politics (Bush), Women's Rights (Feminists), Terri Schiavo, and the usual sexual topics, such as making love to her boyfriend using a strap-on.
I ended up going with Bob, Mark, Brad, Tim, and Bob's friend Mike. We all met up before-hand for some sushi, except for Bob and Mike. Afterwards we went out for some dessert where Steve and his co-worker, who after trying to forget his name, I finally have. (Edit: Just dredged up that memory -- his name is Sam)
Okay, so I'll say it for the first time publically. I'm getting a little tired of working at Sears. One of the reasons I started working there was for the associate discounts. The thing is, I don't buy anything from Sears. So I'm considering my options. The managers there are also changing after the merger with K-Mart. It's all so confusing. It just makes me want to curl up with a bottle of Viagra and watch Lord of the Rings.
Holy Hot Pockets, Batman!
Is it June already?? My goodness how time flies! June is already half over. So much has happened to me recently. Well, not really, but it feels good to say that.
Okay, so where do I begin. Bob Barker. In person he looks like the walking dead, but on TV he looks almost alive. If you were watching The Price is Right on June 2nd, you'd have seen me in the audience. No, I wasn't picked to be a contestant, but I had a blast anyhow. It was all too much really... So when they asked some of the first show audience to stay for the next taping, I was so very overwhelmed with excitement. Imagine, to be given another chance to scream my lungs out for people winning crappy prizes. Who doesn't want a fabulous china cabinet?
Poker! Love poker! Hell, I think I just love to gamble. The money, the cards, the chips... There's just something about being picked for a table and having all your friends at a different table in the other room the entire night. Saturday I went to Bob & Steve's place for the last poker game in their old house, before they move into their magnificent downtown apartment. They donít move in till next Wednesday and already theyíre planning parties up the yin-yang. Damn those circuit boys! Always one step ahead.
Work is really kicking my ass. Between Exair and Sears I donít have much time for doing other stuff. I shouldnít complain though... itís nice to have a job... or two. My personal life has gone to hell for it. I havenít been out on a date in FOREVER.
I have no freaking idea what is going on with my classes. My cell phone rang the other day at Exair with a number I didnít recognize. Now lately, when this happens, itís some Asian woman asking for Chi Lee. She likes to call me from different numbers too... just to mix it up a bit. Asking for trouble, I go ahead and answer. To my surprise it was a woman speaking English and asking if I was Chaz Watson. Finally a call for me! She tells me that this is either good or bad news. My summer class has been canceled. Yeah, thatís great news! I was so excited to hear that the class I signed up for, and need to transfer, has been canceled. What is this, high school? YAY! Oh, to wait another semester for the class I need!
